Abstract painter and textile artist, Taylor Binda lives and works on the north shore of Maui. Taylor’s exuberant work expresses a deep sensitivity—both internally and especially, to the natural world and its rhythms. Connecting what is separated, honoring lineage and tradition, appreciating beauty, processing grief —are all major themes in her work.

Her body of work includes paintings, installations, and textile art. Taylor’s paintings are included in private and corporate collections worldwide and recently placed in the collection of Louis Vuitton. She exhibits weekly on Maui at the acclaimed Four Seasons Wailea Artist-in-Residence program and her works are available in galleries throughout the Hawaiian Islands. Taylor’s work has been licensed by the likes of Disney, Airbnb, and several other brands. As of lately, her studio practice is ever-expanding, focusing on large scale paintings and her latest textile series invisible gardens, paintings made with flower pigments on silk and linen. In July of 2024, she and her husband welcomed their first daughter, Magnolia Lou.
