Overview
The Metrel CS 2099 Installation Tester Field Verification Checkbox is a multifunction device designed to allow periodic checks of installation testers for basic accuracy and functionality. Ideal for weekly or monthly checks in between formal 3rd party traceable calibrations, it provides a quick and easy way to verify essential functions.
The device provides the capability to verify:
- Insulation calibration up to 1000V
- Continuity function calibration
- Fault loop impedance calibration with RCD trip-lock function
- Calibration of RCD trip-out time measurement
- Line impedance calibration
- Voltage and frequency calibration
- Measurement of leads verification
- PE test terminal functional verification
- Automatic mains polarity verification

Accurate and easy to use

At the moment, I can't think of anything I dislike about this scale.
The buttons are responsive, the measurements are accurate (I checked the readings with a couple of calibration weights from a scientific scale), the displays are clear.
Operation in daily use is very simple.
1. Turn on scale
2. After self test, place carafe and filter
3. Press "T" to tare
4. Add grinds
5. Press "||>" to weigh the grinds. This automatically tares the scale again and sets the timer to standby. It also activates the coffee to water ratio display
6. Add water and the timer automatically starts so you get a precise bloom time.
The added water is weighed and displayed as you pour and the coffee to water ratio display gives you an instantaneous reading, so you can brew your perfect cup of coffee each time.
The scale has a large capacity and precise resolution so it works for single small cups to large pots.
All in all, the best scale I've tried so far and might pick up another one when they go on sale (again).
