The COSRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser is arguably one of the most famous K-Beauty cleansers globally. It was specifically formulated to solve a common skincare dilemma: washing away the sebum, dead skin cells, and sweat accumulated overnight without destroying the skin's protective outer barrier.

🌟 Key Benefits

1. Protects the Skin Barrier (Low pH)

  • Matches Skin's Natural Acidity: Your skin’s natural barrier (the acid mantle) thrives at a slightly acidic pH level (around 5.5). Traditional foam washes are often alkaline, which strips this barrier. This cleanser sits at an optimal pH of ~5.3, ensuring it purifies without leaving your face feeling tight, dry, or "squeaky clean."

2. Gentle Morning & Daily Refresh

  • Dissolves Overnight Buildup: While named a "Good Morning" cleanser, it is excellent for both day and night. In the morning, it easily sweeps away excess oil, night creams, and dead cells so your morning skincare absorbs perfectly. At night, it serves beautifully as the second step of a double cleanse.

3. Mild, Non-Stripping Exfoliation

  • Refines Skin Texture: It features a gentle, plant-derived alternative to synthetic salicylic acid. This helps loosen dead skin flakes and smooth out rough patches over time, keeping the skin surface clear and luminous without the aggressive peeling of a harsh scrub.

4. Soothes and Controls Breakouts

  • Keeps Pores Clear: Thanks to its natural antibacterial properties, it helps balance oil production, minimize the appearance of enlarged pores, and reduce the frequency of minor breakouts and blackheads.

🧪 Key Active Ingredients

  • Betaine Salicylate (Natural BHA): A gentler, more skin-friendly relative of traditional Salicylic Acid. It penetrates slightly into the pores to dissolve sebum and encourage cell turnover without triggering barrier irritation.
  • Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil: Provides a natural antiseptic, anti-inflammatory defense to calm redness and keep acne-causing bacteria at bay. It also gives the gel its distinct, medicinal herbal scent.
  • Saccharomyces Ferment: A fermented extract rich in amino acids and minerals that helps hydrate the skin during the washing process, ensuring a soft finish.
  • Botanical Complex (Lotus Leaf, Pine Leaf, and Evening Primrose): A blend of Korean plant extracts designed to soothe heat-stressed skin, provide antioxidant protection, and regulate oil-water balance.

🎯 Best Suited For & Pro-Tips

  • Skin Types: Exceptional for Combination, Oily, and Acne-Prone skin.
  • For Sensitive Skin: It is highly popular among sensitive skin types because it avoids harsh sulfates (SLS/SLES).
  • A Note for Very Dry Skin: Because it contains tea tree and mild BHA to regulate sebum, individuals with extremely dry or flaking skin might find it slightly too clarifying for cold winter months and may prefer a milk or cream cleanser instead.

I don’t mind a cliffhanger,
Format: Kindle
but I dropped at least one star because of the obnoxious gloating of the author after the cliffhanger. Seriously - I don’t understand making your readers angry because you’re smug and expecting them to keep reading your books. I was very definitely enjoying the series. Now I have a bad taste in my mouth and mixed feelings about continuing the series.

The series as a whole so far 5/25
Format: Kindle
I read reviews before going into this book and I don't agree with one of the more harsh ones on the main trigger she had. It is stated clearly in the forward and it wasn't as blase as it was made out to be. It definitely is touched on more and hasn't just been brushed off as the series goes I definitely would recommend reading it. It's a good series just be for-warned I like the series as a whole. The characters are awesome I adore the fmc shes cute and adorable but also a badass. Though there are a bunch of holes for her that I feel like just got left out. The guys are interesting and shout out to yall for not making Gage a dragon. I'm tired of the broody ones who don't wanna talk aboit what they are being Dragons. Ki is my favorite You can definitely tell if is written by 2 different people though because the phrasing just doesn't match up and wouldn't be something people that age says. And it flip flops between them. I feel like there's substance without substance. We are 4 books in and we don't really know much back story on literally anyone more than right under surface deep. There are definitely favorite MMCs which is kind of disappointing since some get shoved to the wayside. Specifically both of the best friends. They're basically useless and it's made obvious as the books go on. As well as all the men are ungodly self deprecating. I enjoy the plot line for the most part like I said I enjoy the series its different and refreshing. I do feel like the series is being dragged out though unfortunately. And the latest cliff hanger was just meh. So hopefully the next book is the last one.

Wow!
Format: Kindle
This book was awesome! Seraphina and her family have moved to a new town. Her family is a bit... odd. She grew up learning how to protect herself from people who might hurt her. Bloodshed is a daily occurrence with her brothers and parents during their practice sessions, and it’s all fun and games unless you need to hide a body. Sera’s family is very close, and she’s been homeschooled most of her life. But in this new town she is going to start regular school as a senior at the local high school. Unfortunately, things at her school aren’t all they seem to be. Or perhaps more than they seem to be. Sera has her own demons to deal with, and she’s terrified her new friends will learn about her weird family and other issues and drop her like a rock. It turns out they have their own secrets as well. This story ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next one! This book is well written and well edited. The heroine is spunky and has a great heart and wicked sense of humor.

A Fox Amongst the Wolves
Format: Kindle
Collette has been forgotten about her whole life. Her parents don't bother with her, others don't try either once they realize she uses sign language to speak, and she's a shifter surrounded by humans that hate her kind. On her 18th birthday, she runs away. She takes the train and then bus wherever it can get her as far from home as possible. A missed bus brings her and a mysterious but kind man to Willowdale. What happens next is a story of fated mates, shifters, magic, new best friends and found family, and a stolen child. I'm sad this was a shorter read but only because of how much I loved Collette, Dylan, Hunter, Luca, Lena, and the others in their community. I love how detailed the characters are even with the shorter story. You can tell their characteristics easily, and the lead in to book two is done so well. I loved this insta love book with just the right amount of drama.

An easy PNR book to cure book hangovers.....
Format: Kindle
I enjoyed this as a short story; but nothing truly pulled me into this world to want to keep reading each story. I can sense the overarching villain arc w/ the HAF; yet it still wasn't enough to capture me long-term. It felt like too much focus was placed on progressing the romance part that everything else took a non-existent back seat. This did work well for my intentions of getting over a book-hangover slump. So there's that lol. A Tip to overcome a PNR book hangover, from a wonderful series or novel......read a trope-y, lighthearted, PNR that is easily predictable but adorable. Like this book. Honestly, I'm rarely into short stories that are turned into a ridiculous amount of books on different PNR characters. So I'm not the best at judging the merits of these stories. I'm a long-haul type of reader that lives for a series surrounding 1 lead female character & her harem (or singular partner). Occassionally, I'll find a series of short stories that are interesting enough to finish or pull me in completely. The rarity of that is countable on 1.5 hands, compared to the literal hundreds of fiction books I've read lol. With all of that, I will say this was fun because of the FMC's difficulties growing up & how that made her strong, the end reveals of her life, & the cute Epilogues. I never felt truly connected to any of the characters; but I did feel slightly compelled to just finish it to see how plot points would end. Unfortunately, due to a lack of character backstory explanations, I still don't understand Collete's "magic". Very little time was given to flesh out the backstory of the world this occurs in. I couldn't even guess what type of magic occurs in this world, aside from what little was revealed. A random scene sticks out to me...... we're introduced to a new magic type, in passing. No dialogue to expand. No hint at anything really. Then the scene moves on. That moment felt pointless to even mention, afterwards. It felt like the author was more concerned w/ romance than storyline. This is a common issue I have w/ short stories....authors write them for whatever reason; but too often it's an "either or" theme.....EITHER the author is writing ONLY for romance w/ storyline taking a minor role OR writing ONLY for storyline w/ some romance that ends up feeling forced. As I mentioned earlier, only a handful of short stories series have ever had a balance of both sides, for me, that I wanted to read all of them.
